COLOMBIA La Union

This coffee comes to us from the Nariño region of Colombia, and more specifically the small municipality of La Unión. There, the Fundación Agraria y Ambiental Para el Desarrollo Sostentible, FUDAM for short, was founded to serve its 300 members who all produce coffee in this small, unique region. FUDAM values sustainability and environmental protection with all of its 300 members being both organic-certified and Rainforest Alliance–certified

This lot from La Unión contains much of what we love about washed Colombian coffees. We’ve enjoyed its clean, clear notes, light mouthfeel, and pleasant aftertaste. It opens with tartness like raisin backed with light, sweet citrus like meyer lemon. The finish is sweet with slight drying like clover honey. Overall this coffee is a great daily driver, perfect for the last days of summer.
